Also look for a link soon to our new website through Swimtopia! The board has been working hard to get it ready to share, and we think it will be a positive change. We will be using Swimtopia's website and app for communication, swim meet event and volunteer sign-ups, registration, and much more.

On March 25, in addition to registering to swim, meeting with our coaches, and purchasing the new team suit, we will be taking a vote on some updates to our Swim Team Bylaws.  We have emailed the existing Bylaws (last modified in 2012) and our proposed Bylaws. All changes are currently highlighted in yellow.

Summary of the changes by section:

1 The Swim Team is no longer under the Foxcroft HOA. We have changed our corporation designation.

4.1 The board member role of Co-President has been changed to Vice-President (throughout the document)

The president may maintain electronic documents

The president's discount has been changed so that the his/her children will swim for free. This was a change that was voted on by the 2016/2017 board, but was not fully ratified by a change of the Bylaws and a vote of the general membership.

There were a few modifications to the role of treasurer to more accurately describe the role and the new reporting since we are no longer a part of the HOA.

4.2 The role of Social Coordinator was simplified in the Bylaws. The expectations have not changed, but we believed too many stipulations were listed in official Bylaws.

4.3 The terms of office of the President and Vice President were clarified.

4.4 Board Meetings - the SAIL rep will now have a full vote in board meetings

5.1 The wording was clarified to explain who is an eligible swimmer.

8.4 The reference to a code of conduct was changed to "handbook".
