This Week’s Home Meet - June 21st

Set Up: We need help setting up for the home meet starting at 2pm. It is a huge effort to rearrange the pool deck, set up tents, get clubhouse ready, etc.

After-Meet Party: We will have a party after the meet so plan to stay and swim! There will be several fun things happening at the party:

* Annual relay (4 x 25 yd) for the coaches, 15-18 swimmers, and parents. Parents - let us know ASAP if you want to participate by contacting Crystal Warmoth at [email protected]. It's only 25 instead of 50 yds this year and will be fun!

* There will be a special announcement from the coaches!

* BYO food for your families (no large group pizza order this year). We will also need help putting everything back to normal after the meet.

Swimmer Arrival Time: (NOTE EARLIER TIMES FOR HOME MEETS):4:00pm, Warm Up Time:4:15pm, Start Time:5:30pm

First half workers, please arrive no later than 5:15 PM. Find Dorothy Sturman to check in.

***Please remind your kids to not take food or money from other kids' bags, chairs, or area***

Chick-fil-A Spirit Night is TONIGHT!! 5:30-7:30 Chick-fil-A on Pelham Rd is hosting a Spirit Night for the Foxcroft Swim Team! You must mention Foxcroft Swim Team to get credit for our team. Thanks to Sharon Gillespie for setting this up for our team!!

Gatorade Donations:

We are collecting individual serving bottles of Gatorade to sell at concessions at the meet this week. If you are able to donate some, please bring to swim practice Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning to give to Sharon Gillespie.

Fun Friday: 10am-11am (no practice)

We will be playing Bubble Ball on the field so have your kids wear shoes. Make sure you've turned in your waiver to Erin Chilton. Donuts and juice will be served and ribbons will be handed out.

A Few More Things:

- Mark your calendars: Wednesday, June 27th 6:15am will be our 2nd annual "Sunrise Practice." Practice will be followed by going out for breakfast so swimmers need to bring money and we will be recruiting parent drivers. More details to come! 

- We still need a volunteer for TuesdayTreats on June 26. Please contact Erin Chilton at [email protected] if you can bring treats.

Swimmer's Ear:

As the pool water gets warmer, we see an increase in swimmer's ear cases. Please remember to be using drops each time your swimmers get home.

Meet Reminders

- Please write your swimmers' event numbers on their arm before dropping them off. This will really help the tent parents. You can find their event numbers on the Swimtopia app.

- Please remind your swimmers how important it is to stay in the tent so that our volunteers can locate them for their events. Avoid sitting elsewhere and especially with coaches. Also, please have them keep their area clean and their items in their bags. We need everyone to throw their trash away.

- Weather Delays: The meet will proceed in the rain, but will be postponed for thunder or lightning. Swimmers may be sent to cars to wait out a storm. All communication regarding delays will be through the Remind group text. We have been sending texts with information already. If you are not receiving them, please make sure to sign-up. Text the phrase @foxswims to the number 81010.
