June 4 Meet Sign-Ups are Open: Remember! The first meet is on a FRIDAY night even though the sign-up says June 3. We will also have a pool party after the meet.

We have opened the first meet for sign-ups to allow plenty of time for new families to learn how to use the system. Please ask your “buddy family” or a board member if you have any questions. The deadline is midnight Sunday, May 30 (12 AM May 31). Swimmers will not be allowed to swim in the meet if they are not signed up by the deadline. Please remember to declare your kids for every meet, whether they are swimming or not.

As you start to prepare for the first meet, we have some helpful information posted on our Swim-Meet-101, we are also always available to answer questions.

If you register your swimmers for the meet, our volunteer coordinator will schedule you to work. If you are unavailable, please email Kelly Keever ([email protected]) to let her know.

Volunteers:

• Certified Officials: There is only one more training session this Thursday night (May 27) for Stroke and Turn, Starter, Ref, and Clerk of Course. Tests must also be passed by May 27. More information on the SAIL page here.
• All other volunteers: SAIL requires all volunteers to be certified each year. We ask that all parents certify for timer and runner ASAP by taking the tests on the SAIL page here. The “Education Materials” tab has a Timers Clinic and Runners Clinic you will need to read (you can keep it open in another tab of your computer). Please take the Runner Certification Test and the Timer Certification Test on the “Online Certification Tests” tab. Note: there are some mistakes on the tests, and the information will feel overwhelming and confusing for new families. Don’t worry, we are here to help you and it will all make more sense after the first meet. If you don’t pass the test on the first try, you are not alone, and you can simply take it again.
