Divisionals Meet Information

Divisionals Week Is Here!

Remember, the team google calendar is the best place to keep track of all the practices and social events.

If you have not RSVP’d for Spare Time and/or Pasta Pump Up, please do so NOW!

Divisionals Theme: Remember our theme is SAFARI! Swimmers will dress up according to the theme for the parade. Keep it simple - medley relays start immediately after the parade.

Fox Friends: Please remember your Fox Friend during Divisionals. Big Fox Friends should try to come for part of the meet Saturday morning to cheer on their Little Fox. If they are unable to connect at the meet, small gifts can be delivered at Pasta Pump Up.

VOLUNTEERS: Attached is the volunteer list for both meets. Foxcroft positions are highlighted in gray. If you are volunteering, you should have already received this list and instructions for officials meetings from Emelyn on July 2nd. If you have any conflicts, please contact Emelyn (951-833-2077). We will also need volunteers to help set-up our tents, generator, and fan on Friday morning, to secure them Friday evening, and to take them down on Saturday afternoon.

Championships & Classics

Bloody Sundae: Reminder, this year, we will not have our traditional Ice Cream social to reveal our C&C qualifiers. Instead, on Sunday night (July 11), we will email a list of qualifiers. All qualified swimmers will come to the pool on Monday morning at 8:30 for practice, breakfast, and to find out which meets and events they will be swimming. For anyone who is new to Championships & Classics, these meets are for the top swimmers in SAIL (all divisions), based on times recorded at Divisionals. Classics represents the top 16 swimmers in every event and Championships represents swimmers ranked 17 – 40. Don’t let your swimmers be disheartened if they don’t make it! With over 4,000 swimmers in SAIL, it is very difficult to qualify for these meets, and often takes years of practice!

C&C and Shirt Orders: Qualifying swimmers can order special t-shirts with a custom saying on the back. The shirts will be ordered online, and the deadline is usually mid-day Monday. Due to a supply issue this year, the Classics and Championships shirts will be the same color with slightly different designs. Swimmers who will be swimming in one meet, will order the shirt for that meet. Swimmers who will be swimming in both meets usually purchase a Classics shirt (although they are welcome to buy both). The saying on the back of the shirt can be as simple as your last name, can be something clever/funny, can be a swimming pun – anything you want! If you think you might have a swimmer in one of the C&C meets (or just want to dream a little), think about what you’d like on the back of the shirt. A few examples from an old list:

  • Kat Ingram: FREE AT LAST
  • Nicholas Franchina: IN THE NICK OF TIME
  • Boys 9-10 Relay: STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
  • Sam Wingard: I’M SO GOOD YOUR MOM CHEERS FOR ME
  • Foster Haff (2020): WASH YOUR HANDS YOU FILTHY ANIMAL
