June 23 Meet Information

This Week’s Meet: This week’s meet is at home against Orchard Farms.

When: June 23rd, starts 5:30 PM

  • Set-up: 2:00 - We need help setting up for the meet. It is a huge effort to rearrange the pool deck, set-up concessions, and get everything ready for our guests. Thank you to those who signed up.
  • Swimmer Arrival Time: 4:00 (Earlier for home meets!)
  • Warm Up Time: 4:15 (10&Under), 4:30 (11&Up) - Parents of young swimmers need to stay with their kids after the warm-up. Neither coaches nor tent parents will be available to supervise swimmers.
  • First half volunteers: Arrive no later than 5:00 PM. Volunteers will meet at the front entrance. Find Ashley Wooten to check in.
  • Officials Meeting: 5:15
  • The pool will stay open until 10 PM for a team party. We hope you will stay and swim after the deck is put back in order.

Swimmer’s Area: We will have a section of the field for our guests and a section for Foxcroft. Look for our big white tents for swimmers. Any families who want shade for themselves may want to bring a pop-up. Swimmers will be entering Clerk of Course through a new gate near the diving boards. Spectators will enter through the shelter.

Parking: Please do not park in the pool parking lot. We reserve the entire lot for our guests. We can use the bicycle parking and golf cart parking until they are full, but please walk from home or park in a friend’s driveway. If you do park on the road, please park some distance away, follow no parking signs, and stay on one side of the road.

Concessions: We will have traditional cash-only concessions, Chick-Fil-A nuggets and Sandwiches, and Kona Ice. Unfortunately, Moe’s food truck was damaged. They are unable to come as previously planned.

Additional Meet Information:

  • The playground is off limits during meets.
  • The dirt area behind the baby pool will have pine straw and will be blocked off. Please do not use this area. Do not enter the field from the front of the clubhouse, but instead through the pool or on the tennis court/field side.
  • It is easy for kids to be comfortable at home meets and get “lost” for their events. Please remind your swimmers how important it is to rest, stay in the team area, and clean up after themselves.
  • We will again allow standing spectators on deck. Chairs on deck will be limited to grandparents and limited mobility guests. Families can set-up chairs and tents on the field. Please do not move any of the umbrellas or pool furniture.
  • Remember to support your Fox Friend!
  • It is against SAIL rules to consume alcohol during a swim meet, but HOA rules take over after the meet has ended and the deck has been put back together.
  • There are a large number of ant hills on the field. Please be mindful of where you position your chairs and encourage swimmers to keep their shoes on in the grass.
  • The heat sheet is attached. We will also have printed copies at concessions for $1.

Block Update: Our new blocks are still a couple of inches taller than expected. We are working with the manufacturer and installer to find a long-term solution. They are safe to use, and we are adding extra water to the pool to raise the surface level higher for our home swim meets. If the backstroke bars are too high for any swimmer, they are always welcome to hold the side of the pool. The coaches are working on starts with our team, and our opponent has been notified.

June 30th Meet: Sign-ups for our final dual meet against McCarter Meet will open at 6 PM Wednesday night and close at 6 PM Sunday. If you are unavailable to volunteer, please mark yourself as unavailable. Please don’t forget!

Fun Friday: There will be no practice on Friday. Join us at the shelter at 10:30 AM for donuts, ribbons, and games. Swimmers will be playing games in the field. Please dress accordingly with shoes on.

Divisionals Week: Divisionals week starts July 5 with special events each day. The team google calendar has been updated with times and events. Pasta Pump Up and Breakfast of Champions item sign-ups are also open on our website. More details will be sent in a follow-up email.

Divisionals Heat Sheet Contest: Entries for the Divisionals heat sheet contest are due Tuesday 7/5 by 5 PM to Emelyn Shabel. Entry must be 8 ½ x 11” page size, pencil drawing, and all White Division teams must be represented/listed. Artist name, age, and pool affiliation should be written on the back. There will be one winner for 10&Under and one for 11+. There is a cash prize.
