McCarter Meet Results

Thank you all so much for making our final dual meet a success. Our Swim Team truly is a large part of what makes Foxcroft such a wonderful place to live! The 15+ boys entertained us all with their unique final relay, and a fun new tradition was started to celebrate our six seniors (Hudson Hargette, Ella Rollins, Avery Bryant, Jack Mezzogori, Liam Robertson, and Jack Watson). If you missed it, check our FB page in the coming days for pictures/videos.

Meet Results: The final score was Foxcroft 441, McCarter 230. Two new pool records were set (details below), and our swimmers earned 164 new PR’s.

Swimmers of the Week: These swimmers were recognized for their hard work and good attitudes. They received a gift card to TCBY and a gold cap to wear for the coming week. Please be sure to return the cap after next week’s meet.

  • 10&Under Girl: Everly Rollins
  • 10&Under Boy: Bennett Young
  • 11&Up Girl: Eliana Shoaf
  • 11&Up Boy: JB Overby

Divisionals Theme: Foxcroft’s 2021 Divisionals Theme is Top Gun! The meets on Friday and Saturday will both start with a parade of teams around the pool deck. Every year, swimmers dress up according to the theme for the parade, so start collecting items for a costume - creativity is the goal! For example, a bicycle helmet can be turned into a flight helmet! We also invite you to decorate your car/golf cart in accordance with the theme for the neighborhood parade on Wednesday night.

Divisionals Week: The team google calendar has all practices and events. There will only be one practice on July 4 at 9 AM for all ages. The social schedule can be found here: Calendar of Divisionals Week activities. Please buy movie tickets no later than Sunday. Pasta Pump Up and Breakfast of Champions item sign-ups are on our website. Please sign up now! Entries for the divisionals heat sheet contest are due Tuesday, July 5.

Meet Info and C&C announcements:

  • Many details will be coming regarding the meets, but please plan to arrive by 3 PM on Friday afternoon (11&Up) and 8:20 AM on Saturday morning (10&Under).
  • C&C Reveal - Last year we started a new tradition. On Sunday night (July 10), we will email a list of qualifiers. All swimmers will come to the pool on Monday morning at 8:30 for the Breakfast of Champions to celebrate. C&C qualifiers will find out which meets and events they will be swimming at the breakfast. Let it be a surprise and don’t check Swimtopia for the events!
  • Ice Cream Social - All swimmers are invited to an ice cream social on Sunday, July 17 at 8 PM to celebrate the C&C swimmers as they receive their awards. (Reminder: the banquet is on Tuesday, July 12.)

Divisionals Volunteers: Volunteers have been assigned in Swimtopia. Ashley Wooten ([email protected]) will also follow up with all volunteers soon. Please let her know if there are any conflicts or if you are available as a last minute sub for either meet.

Swimmer’s Ear Prevention: We have had a lot of cases of swimmer’s ear recently. Please be diligent about caring for those ears over the next week. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the Divisionals activities or meet! Prevention tips can be found here.

New Records: Foxcroft records can only be broken in our pool. Two swimmers broke records last night.
