2023 Pre-season Announcements

Note: 2022 swim team families are receiving this email. Following registration, we will email the current team only. Please forward this email to any new families who may be interested in joining our team!

We are excited to share some details about the upcoming season. Please save/flag/print this email for your reference, as it has lots of important information all in one place! Our team emails also save to our website under Resources >> News if you ever need to find one again.

White Division: Foxcroft remains in the White division and will compete against PMP, Silverleaf, Pelham Falls, and Woody Creek. There will be one out of division meet against River Walk. Links to the White division teams (including location) can be found on our website under About>>Division.

Coaches: Coaches Ella Rollins and Wade Stansberry are returning this season, and we are excited to add Coaches Hudson Hargette and Sophie Haff. Meredith Ann Wingard and Caroline Shoaf will serve as our new Fish team coaches this summer. Learn more on our website at About >> Coaches.

Registration: Registration will open April 3rd at https://foxcroft.swimtopia.com. Please register as soon as possible. You must register your swimmer by May 1st for your swimmer to receive a team t-shirt.

Registration Fees: 1st Swimmer - $110, 2nd Swimmer - $100, 3rd Swimmer - $90, 4th+ Swimmer - $80. A $50 Family Booster Fee is applied to the first swimmer. If a family has no competitive team swimmers (only Fish), the booster fee is waived.

Parent Meeting & New Family Q&A: Join us this Sunday, April 2nd, at 1:00 pm in the clubhouse for a parent meeting. New families are invited to stay and ask questions about the team. Coaches and board members who are able to attend will be available until 3 PM. This is also a great time to bring a copy of birth certificates for any new swimmer (or swimmer moving up to “big” team). We will have samples of Foxwear items that are available for purchase.

Swimsuits: We will have a new swimsuit this year. You can try on and purchase your suit as well as personalized caps at Alpine Ski Center (30 Orchard Park Dr.). Currently, there is a Speedo supply issue, so one of the girl's styles may not be available until the end of April/May. There are two different styles for both girls and boys. Swimmers CAN wear their old team suit. All orders must be in by the 1st week of May to guarantee use for the first meet. Old practice suits are currently on sale for up to 50% off.

Practices: The first day of practice will be Monday, May 8th. Practices will be M-F in the afternoons, May 8th - June 2nd. We will have morning and afternoon practices starting June 5th. All times are listed in the calendar on the Swimtopia website.

Fish Team: Fish practices will be held Monday – Friday, starting on June 5th and concluding on June 30th. We will host a FISH only meet (no outside teams) on June 28th. Please contact Jamie Dawson ([email protected]) with any FISH questions or feel free to ask at the meeting this Sunday, April 2nd.

Swim Meets: Home and away meet locations have been set:

  • June 2 - FOX at Pelham Falls
  • June 8 - FOX at River Walk
  • June 15 – FOX at Silverleaf
  • June 22 – Woody Creek at FOX
  • June 29 – PMP at FOX
  • July 7 & 8 – Divisionals @ Woody Creek
  • July 15 & 16 - Championships & Classics (These are finals for swimmers with qualifying times only)

Bix Fox Pancake Breakfast:
Our annual breakfast for Big Foxes will be on Saturday, May 13th. This is a great opportunity to spend time with just our older swimmers setting some goals and expectations. FOX Friends will also be revealed.

Full Calendar: We have a full calendar of events and practices on our website. There is an option to subscribe. We will regularly update this as we have more information.

SAIL Officials Training Schedule: Most meet volunteer positions require an online certification (simply read a few pages and answer some questions). Some official positions (Stroke & Turn, Starter, Referee, and Clerk of Course) also require attending a training session in May. The training schedule as well as a description of all volunteer positions is posted on our volunteer tab. If you have any questions or would like to try a new position this year, please contact Ashley Wooten ([email protected]).

Sponsorships: Foxcroft Swim Team has sponsorship advertisement opportunities available for your business. More information can be found on our sponsor tab or by contacting Kelli Swartzentruber ([email protected]). We would love to have more Neighbors & Family sponsors this year. These can be purchased in $25 increments and are a great way for grandparents or neighbors to help support our team. We have chosen to invest in a larger coaching staff for the size of our team, and sponsorships help us keep our fees reasonable.

Social Media: Make sure you are following us on social media! Foxcroft Swim Team on Facebook and foxcroftswim on Instagram. If you have not already, please sign up for the Remind App. Text @foxswims to 81010.

Questions: If you have any questions about the swim team, contact Liz Shafer at (864) 506-5319 or [email protected].
