Meet Results, Sign Ups, and Divisionals Info
Meet Results: Great job against Woody Creek – a much bigger team than Foxcroft! We lost the meet 363-316. Based on the heat sheet, we were projected to lose by over 150 points. Our swimmers did an excellent job!
Swimmers of the Week: These swimmers were recognized for their hard work and good attitudes. They received a gift card to TCBY and a gold cap to wear for the coming week. Please be sure to return the cap after next week’s meet.
- 10&Under Girl: Rose Shafer, 10&Under Boy: Zeke Shoaf
- 11&Up Girl: Avery Wooten, 11&Up Boy: Wells Stepp
Ribbons: Ribbons were handed out to 10&Under swimmers today. We also have a binder where each 11&Up swimmer has a sheet that includes their stickers for each event/meet. They will get to keep it at the end of the season but may look through it each Friday to see how they improve!
Sign up NOW for the June 29th HOME Meet: You must RSVP by Sunday at midnight even if you are not attending the meet! THIS WILL BE OUR LAST REGULAR SEASON MEET! Home meets require more volunteers during the meet as well as for set-up. We added set-up jobs to Swimtopia this year, but please also take a job during the meet if you can. Please let Ashley Wooten ([email protected]) know of any volunteer conflicts or questions.

Pasta Pump Up and Breakfast of Champions item sign-ups are also open on our website All attending families are expected to sign up for an item for Pasta Pump Up. It is a potluck dinner for families, the Breakfast of champions is for swimmers. More details will be sent in a follow-up email.
Thank you everyone for completing your intentions to swim in Divisionals, Championships, and Classics. Attached is a report summarizing everyone’s intentions. Please check this report for accuracy. If there are any mistakes, please respond to Kristen Rollins ([email protected]) by 12 noon THIS SUNDAY, 6/25. The “meet” is closed in Swimtopia, so you will no longer be able to make changes.
After Sunday until the start of Divisionals, any change requests must be submitted to Kristin so that she can process the proper SAIL paperwork. After Divisionals start, a swimmer who scratches from C&C without a valid reason will receive a $50 fine per individual event and $100 for relays.
The following is an example of how to read the report.
Swimmer 1 is only swimming in Divisionals, Swimmer 2 is swimming in Divisionals and is available for Champs and Classics if he qualifies, Swimmer 3 will not swim in Divisionals (the event section is blank), swimmer 4 will swim in Divisionals and Championships if he qualifies, but not in classics.

Remember, everyone who signed up for Divisionals will swim in the meet. Championships and Classics intentions let SAIL know you are able to swim in the meet, but participants are chosen based on times in all of the divisional meets across the city. By event, the fastest available 16 swimmers go to Classics, the next 24 go to Championships. The 2023 rankings are updated every week in the Greenville Journal. These rankings give a good idea of how competitive your swimmer is across the SAIL, but only the times earned in Divisionals meets count for an invitation to C&C. A swimmer ranked 60 or above has a good chance of earning a spot, but we won’t know until the Sunday after Divisionals.
Iron Man: Swimmers who swim all 6 individual events during a meet over the course of the season will receive the Iron Man award at the banquet. For swimmers who would like to receive this award, there is one more meet to achieve their goal.
Greenville Journal: SAIL rankings are on the Greenville Journal website. his link is to the 2023 individual results, and it is searchable. There are also tabs at the top to view relay rankings, swimmers of the week (2 per team), and meet of the week photos.
Swimmer’s Ear Prevention: This is the time of year we start to see a lot of painful ear infections. We have some prevention tips here.
