Meet Results and Sign Up by Midnight!
Thank you to everyone for a great first swim meet!
Meet Results: We are so proud of all of our swimmers for their hard work! It was close, but Dove Tree won the meet with 336 points and Foxcroft with 328.
Swimmers of the Week: Our swimmers of the week are Annie Stepp, Caleb McKenzie, Zeke Shoaf, and Emma Kate Ellis.
Sign up now for the May 30th Meet: You must RSVP by Sunday (TOMORROW) at midnight even if you are not attending the meet! Please log in to your Swimtopia account on our website to register. Swimmers will not be allowed to swim in the meet if they are not signed-up by midnight tomorrow.
Please let Ashley Brown at [email protected] or Stephanie Hedge at [email protected] know of any volunteer conflicts or questions. The meet will be away at Woody Creek. If your child is not swimming at the meet, make sure and to also mark yourself as unavailable to volunteer.
Practice schedule next week: NO practice on Monday due to Memorial Day. Our morning/afternoon summer schedule starts Tuesday with 10&Under at 9 AM and 4 PM; 11&Up at 10 AM and 5 PM; and Fish at 11:00 or 11:30 AM and 9:30 on Fridays. Remember, you can view/subscribe to the full calendar on our website here.
Iron Man: Swimmers who swim all 6 individual events (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley, and long free) over the course of the season will receive the Iron Man award at the banquet. For swimmers who would like to receive this award, consider setting goals to include a new event at each meet.
T-shirt Design Contest! For the T-shirt design for Championships and Classics this year, there is a swimmer design competition! Any swimmer or coach can submit a design for the t-shirt (shirt colors and artwork) for Champs and Classics this July!! The SAIL board will vote on the designs and choose a winner (designs will be anonymous when voting). Please submit shirt designs via email to [email protected] by Monday, June 3rd!
Swimmers’ Times: You can view your swimmers’ times from the meet on the Swimtopia app under “Events”. Foxcroft has a 25 yard pool, but most teams in SAIL have a 25 meter pool (about 7 feet longer). Depending on the settings in your app, the times may be converted by the computer. In the app, if you click on your swimmer’s name under “Members” and choose “Swim History”, you should be able to view all of your child’s times, see what date s/he swam their personal best, and what the times are in yards and meters. Additionally, The Mobile Pro App updates live as times are entered during the meet. It costs a fee for the extra features, and you can cancel at the end of the season.
Have a great weekend and see you Tuesday morning! GO FOX!
