Home Meet Details
This Week’s Meet: This week’s meet is at HOME against Greenville Country Club.
When: June 20th, starts 4:00 PM (note the earlier time)
Set Up at 12:00 PM: WE NEED HELP SETTING UP FOR THE MEET. It is a huge effort to rearrange the pool deck, set-up concessions, and get everything ready for our guests. Even if you can only spare 30 minutes, we would appreciate the help. Thank you to those who signed up.
Swimmer Arrival Time: 2:30 (Earlier for home meets!)
Warm Up Time: 2:45 (10&Under), 3:00 (11&Up) – Parents of young swimmers need to stay with their kids after the warm-up. Neither coaches nor tent parents will be available to supervise swimmers.
First-half Volunteers:
- First half volunteers: Arrive no later than 3:30 PM. Volunteers will meet at the front entrance. Find Ashley Brown or Stephanie Hedge to check in.
- Officials Meeting: 3:45
- Parents who are able, please stay and help reset the pool after the meet.
- Please remember that SAIL policy prohibits all timers and recording timers from using their phones to take pictures or videos from behind the blocks and also from having phones out and in use at all. Please be mindful of this rule.
After the meet: We will recognize our seniors with a Senior Swim,
and we will announce our Divisionals theme! Please stay for these special events and for a night swim!
Swimmer’s Area: We will have a section of the field for our
guests and a section for Foxcroft. Look for our big red tents for
swimmers. If the weather necessitates, we will be using one of our tents for
the visiting team. Plan to bring tents from home to help shelter our
swimmers and for families who want shade for themselves. Swimmers will be
entering Clerk of Course through the gate near the diving boards. Spectators
will enter through the shelter.
Parking: Please do not park in the pool parking lot. We reserve the entire lot for our
guests. We can use the bicycle parking and golf cart parking until they
are full, but please walk from home or park in a friend’s driveway. If you do park on the road, please park some
distance away, follow no parking signs, and stay on one side of the road.
Concessions: Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, Marco’s 10” pizzas, and Duck
Donuts will be available along with various snacks, drinks, and candy. Cash and
credit payments accepted (no Venmo).
Additional Meet Information:
- The playground is off limits during meets.
- Swimmers should wear their red Foxcroft T-shirts to the meet. Parents, don’t forget your FOXwear!
- It is easy for kids to be comfortable at home meets and get “lost” for their events. Please remind your swimmers how important it is to rest, stay in the team area, and clean up after themselves.
- We will again allow standing spectators on deck. Chairs on deck will be limited to grandparents and limited mobility guests. Families can set up chairs and tents on the field. Please do not move any of the umbrellas or pool furniture.
- Remember to support your Fox Friend!
- It is against SAIL rules to consume alcohol during a swim meet, but HOA rules take over after the meet has ended and the deck has been put back together.
- There are often ant hills on the field. Please be mindful of where you position your chairs and encourage swimmers to keep their shoes on in the grass.
Divisionals Week: Next week is Divisionals Week, and there are fun
events leading up to our Divisionals meets on the 28th and 29th! Details coming soon, but you can
also check out the swim
team calendar.
Fun Friday: There will be no practice on Friday. Join us at the shelter at 10:30 AM for donuts, ribbons, and games.
