Swim Team Announcements
Thank you to the swimmers, coaches, parents, and volunteers for all your hard work during the Divisionals week events and the two days of the meets. The teamwork at Foxcroft is unparalleled!
The SAIL board has combined the results of all 6 Divisionals Meets. This data will be used to determine 2025 Divisions groups as well as which swimmers will be invited to Championships and Classics next weekend. The coaches and SAIL reps are meeting this afternoon and will email a list of C&C qualifiers as soon as possible.
Breakfast of Champions
The entire team is invited to come to the pool at 9 AM
tomorrow for a Breakfast of Champions. This will be a fun time of
celebration for everyone. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to
view the results and order t-shirts, but the continental breakfast will be
provided for swimmers.
Practice This Week
This week and next week’s practices will be for C&C swimmers only. The
number of swimmers who qualify will determine our practice schedule for
Tuesday-Friday. This will be sent out this evening along with the list of
qualified swimmers!
Awards Night
The Swim Team Awards Night and Dessert Banquet is July 8 at 6:30 PM
on the field. We will be serving dessert, and every swimmer will
receive an award.

Finally, please take a moment to read the following parent observation from the
weekend. Thank you, Justin for sharing this with the team. We couldn’t agree
more!
I had
a different perspective today as a timer, and I could not be more proud to be a
part of Foxcroft. I wanted to share something I noticed on one of the last
races of a long weekend when all our kids were in their most exhausted states.
At the end of the Girls 8U 100m Freestyle Relay, I watched Evie Mammarella
finish a killer 4th leg. Regardless of the exhaustion that was clear on her
face, she turned and intently watched the Dove Tree team 5 lanes over finish
strong, but nearly 30 seconds behind everyone else. For that entire 30 seconds,
Evie was the only swimmer in the pool. The other teams had left long before.
This specific race stood out to me, but I saw our kids repeat this time and
time again throughout the entire day. This is an absolute testament to our
coaches drilling the expectation of sportsmanship above all else, and to our
kids for listening and being leaders in the pool today. I suppose we might get
a sliver of credit as parents, but in my experience, a coach and the teammates
around you have the greatest impact.
In my opinion, Foxcroft won Divisionals by every measure that is truly
meaningful today. Proud to be a Fox! - Justin M.
