May 22 Home Meet
This Week’s Meet: This week’s meet is at HOME against Thornblade.
Thursday, May 22 starts 5:30 p.m.
If this is your swimmer's first meet, please check out Swim Meet 101 page.
Swimmer Arrival Time: 4:00 p.m. Set up a chair under the team tent and be ready to warm-up in the pool.
Warm Up Time: 4:15 (10&Under), 4:30 (11&Up) – Parents of young swimmers need to stay with their kids after the warm-up. Neither coaches nor tent parents will be available to supervise swimmers during warm ups.
Volunteer Reminders:
- Volunteers will meet at the front entrance. Find the Volunteer Coordinator to check in.
- The Timer Meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. behind the starter stand. Please review the new system training steps prior to this first meet.
- Officials Meeting: 5:15 p.m.
- Parents who are able, please stay and help reset the pool after the meet.
Please remember that SAIL policy prohibits all timers and recording timers from using their phones to take pictures or videos from behind the blocks and also from having phones out and in use at all. Please be mindful of this rule.
Swimmer’s Area: There is a section of the field for our guests and a section for Foxcroft. Look for our big red tents for swimmers. Plan to bring tents from home to help shelter our swimmers and for families who want shade for themselves. Swimmers will be entering Clerk of Course through the gate near the diving boards. Spectators will enter through the shelter/concessions.
Parking: Do not park in the pool parking lot. We reserve the entire lot for our guests. We can use the bicycle parking and golf cart parking until they are full, but please walk from home or park in a friend’s driveway. If you do park on the road, please park some distance away, follow no parking signs, and stay on one side of the road.
Concessions: Chick-fil-A, Hutch Creamery Ice cream, Fluor Fairy Floss, and Berry Hill. Personal Pizzas and more will be available along with various snacks, drinks, and candy. Cash, credit and electronic payments accepted.
Additional Meet Information:
- The playground is off limits during meets.
- Swimmers should wear their red Foxcroft T-shirts to the meet. Parents, don’t forget your FOXwear!
- It is easy for kids to be comfortable at home meets and get “lost” for their events. Please remind your swimmers how important it is to rest, stay in the team area, and clean up after themselves.
- Standing spectators on deck is allowed. Chairs on deck will be limited to grandparents and limited mobility guests. Families can set up chairs and tents on the field. Please do not move any of the umbrellas or pool furniture.
- Remember to support your Fox Friend - Know the events your friend is swimming and cheer!
- It is against SAIL rules to consume alcohol during a swim meet.
- There are often ant hills on the field. Please be mindful of where you position your chairs and encourage swimmers to keep their shoes on in the grass.
No After Meet Party/Fun Friday: Greenville County School District is still in session on Friday. As a result, there will be no after-meet party Thursday and no Fun Friday the next morning.
There will be a combined practice at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Next Swim Meet: Sign-ups for next week’s meet will open at 6 p.m. Wednesday night and close at midnight Sunday. If you are unavailable to volunteer, please mark yourself as unavailable.
