Swim Meet Tomorrow
Our First Meet is TOMORROW, June 11!
Running a virtual meets while helping facilitate social distancing is new territory for us all. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we figure out the first meet. This week we are swimming against our out of Division opponent, the Poinsettia Pirates.

- Warm-up times: Group 3 - 4:50, Group 2 - 5:10, Group 1 - 5:30. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before warm-up and note the reversal in schedule. The OLDEST swimmers are warming-up FIRST.
- Volunteers check-in by 5:30.
- Start-time: 6 PM

- Snacks and plenty of water!
- Towel
- Chair
- Tent or even a rain umbrella for some shade
For more information on suggested items to bring, click here.
Swimtopia App / Event Numbers:
You can view your children’s evens in the Swimtopia App. Scroll down to events, and click on this week’s meet. Volunteer jobs have not been entered into Swimtopia this week, so please make sure to reference the e-mail below. Many children like to have their event numbers written on their arm in Sharpie. Parents will need to do this for their children this year, as there will be no tent parents.
Meet Reminders:
If you did not carefully read all of the COVID-19 meet policies we sent out on June 4, please take time to do so before tomorrow. They can also be found here. There are many things that are different this year, so even experienced families should be prepared for the changes. A few highlights:
- Due to our on-deck capacity, NO spectators may set-up on the deck. Parents may come on the deck to watch their child’s event and then must exit to the field. Alternatively, you can watch through the fence.
- There will be no team tent and no tent parents. Parents are responsible for their children during the meet as well as helping them get to their events and keeping the field clean.
- We will have a one-way flow of traffic. Entering at the front gate and exiting through the shelter. We will go over the new flow with the children during practice / mock meets tomorrow morning.
- Our HOA has limited pool guests to immediate family and out of town guests. This applies to Swim Meets as well. If possible, we would prefer that you refrain from visitors at the first meet.
- Parents and swimmers should have the expectation that relay line-ups may have last minute changes based on the most recent times. This is a practice familiar to swimmers in year-round swimming. Relay spots are not guaranteed and are solely the discretion of our coaches.
- The meet will proceed in the rain, but will be postponed for thunder or lightning. All communication regarding delays will be through the Remind group text.
Concessions:
We will not have concessions, but we will have the Chocolate Art Works Food Truck as well as delivery of Chick-Fil-A pre-orders. Orders must be emailed to [email protected] by 10 AM. Please see the attachments for menu and more information.
Fox Friends:
We hope to have Fox Friends paired by tomorrow morning. Swimmers should be on the lookout for opportunities to cheer their Big or Little Fox.
Fun Friday this week:
Swimmers need to be at the shelter by 10 AM. This week’s activity is Kick Ball! Please be sure to wear tennis shoes. We will have donuts and individually packaged drinks. A parent wearing gloves and a mask will serve the food. While half the team eats, the other half will play kick ball on the field. Due to the nature of getting the results of the virtual meet, ribbons will not be available until Monday.
June 18th Meet Sign-Up: Sign-ups for next week’s meet against Pelham Falls are now open. Remember the deadline is Sunday night – the sooner the better for the coaches!
